Well, when apache installed itself, it had to tell IIS to get out of the way somehow, or apache and IIS would have been fighting over the default port. So you have to tell IIS it can take the default port back again.

Have you checked in the services control panel to see whether IIS is even running? The Oracle/Apache installer may have been "helpful" enough to have shut it down for you.

Other things I can think of -- you may need to go back in the internet sharing control panel (or whatever that is in English on MSW) and re-set-up the internet access "permissions" for the pages you had IIS serving for you.

I may be remembering wrong, but I think you can alter this through the httpd.conf configuration file for apache. Oh. But I see you tried that before un-installing. BTW, Oracle might also need to be re-configured.

Good luck, and my sympathies. No one should be in the position of needing to use IIS.
