Where can I find all the error code for Oracle 8i?

Fish,

if you have the docs CD then there are 3 manuals of error messages there !

Failing that if you get an error ora-12345 then at the shell promt type :

        oerr ora 12345

and you will get back a cause and effect message for that error message. (At least, I do on HPUX !)
