to have a butchers = look at. Don't ask - we invented english (or at the very least stole it from people we conquered) - we'll do what we like with it. see also "real-ale-less" from earlier.

As for Ms Bush. She was a moderately successful practitioner of Popular Music in the late 70's early 80's who specialised in overblown pretentious twaddle (NB this is a good thing). Unless you want to enter a whole world of hurt probably just best pass quietly on by.
