Re: performance of Inserting bytes

I suggest you to look at several places:

• how "far" is your Oracle? Approximately, I remember having for simplest (like getting sysdate) access : 2-10 ms in local access 5-20 ms over LAN 15-100 ms over internet
• how big is LONGRAW ? may be you have natural network limit ?
• speed can depend on exact way you use for longraw transfer. There are several ways with setBytes, using streams or some Oracle extended methods. Sometimes you can regulate intermediate buffer size.
• in some situations more often commit can speed up insertions.
• ask your DBA if the table is heavy indexed. Switching (temporary) indexing off can speed up insertion.

... may be there are some option more....
