I would like to run Oracle 8.1.7 (maybe 9i) in a SAN environment.

I would run all Table Spaces on the san, my thoughts where to run REDO logs on a local drive.

Any one have any experience with this? I was told to make sure REDO was no on the SAN because Oracle can not be sure writes have happened because SAN controllers usually have large writing cache's.

Thoughts?

Thanks
