Niall,

I *enjoyed* my backup & recovery course. The lecturer, Karen, made it interesting, and when we were doing the practiacl stuff where she trashes a database and we fix it, she though my team were, ahem, too clever, and started throwing all sorts at us. Made for a very interesting Friday that did.

The script looks very much like one I knocked up some time ago to do exactly the same thing. We both missed out the check to see if the database was running in archivelog mode though :o)

Cheers,
Norman.

C'mon this *is* backup and recovery. <g>.

Seriously it is good to see that the script is well documented. It makes picking up logical errors like these much much simpler. Received on Tue Jul 16 2002 - 09:05:36 CDT
