I found bug 2163114 on Metalink - sounds familiar, HPUX11 64bit etc etc. I'm logging a TAR right now and we shall see.

I've got an intermittent problem on an 817 database with random processes hitting 100% of the CPU and stopping the whole thing dead. (the database).
