That is exactly what I am saying. We as professionals need to encourage and assist those with less or no experience to get that experience. We should encourage our employers to provide entry level DBA jobs so we can train the next generation of DBAs.

Instead of complaining about the lack of qualified DBAs, we should be growing them.
