Hi there,

I am wondering if someone can give me hints about running 9i on Linux (any version) on a Dual-Board Intel-Based PC.

-does it work?
-which versions (Linux, Oracle) and PC components (Processors, Boards)
are you using?
-how fast ist it?
-how stable ist it?
-are there special traps i should be aware of?

I dont expect definite answers but some hints or links would be great.

I am quite happy with Oracle 9i on SuSE 7.1 but would like more speed. Our application is very scalable and can take advantage of multiple processores ie of a SUN.
But, as we know, Intel PCs are faster and much cheaper.
