Of course! We've all been there.
What they're now looking for is Tom Kyte's magic parameter: FAST=TRUE.

P.S. (in relation to an earlier thread): We have now been bullied into creating 40+ instances on one box. Project managers and lead testers are now asking why performance is sub-optimal....
