I am not a MS fanatic. I love unix and that's the reason I miss the command line/text based install options with oracle. We are not provided a workstation unless absolutely necessary due to desktop maintenance issues - I am talking about a company with more than 300 people working at this location. I don't think this issue is related to emulator performance, which is working well with the other x-win applications on unix (like xterm). I believe the problem lies with the java GUI of oracle installer.
