This article has covered a variety of aspects concerning the "Oracle Professional " mainly the DBA . My 2c ..

I guess the issue here is more importantly the "Front-end" vs "Back-end" type IT positions.
Front-end ones are more "Developer" or "Analyst" types they are also more "visible" !! and maybe hence less immune to layoffs ( as some postings suggested )
Back-end ones are the DBA or "Sys Admin/System manager" types and less visible. Only visible when something breaks.. So the "ignorant manager" (per postings here) thinks they are not as important !!! Received on Mon Jul 08 2002 - 14:36:38 CDT
