And if that doesn't work it leads me to speculate that you either did not read the pre and post installation instructions on the CD or didn't follow them.

If that is the case ... now would be a good time to say "dam_" and do so.

Alternatively ... open a metalink account ... no extra charge if you have a service contract (http://metalink.oracle.com) and search around. You've quite a bit of company.
