Machine is a Dell Power Edge with twin 700Mhz CPU's and 4 Gig's of ram.

5 instances all empty and tuned down to 128Mb total SGA for each.

When the services goes to start up it takes a very long time. Evidentially, an error pops up about "response timed out". If I look in the services control panel, it shows the services as "starting" and they never finish.

Each one of these services is attempting to pull approx. 1.5 Gigs of RAM when starting. I also can not select a service and use "Stop" on any of them.

Please advise quickly if you can.

Thanks.
