You don't think, just possibly, that knowing the physical RAM on your box might be relevant? Given that you mention it might be the problem???

I'll just guess, shall I?

However much a Pro you may or may not be, you really need to learn how to describe a problem accurately (which you didn't do too badly on) and include all available diagnostic information (which you did [do badly on]).

If you have 256Mb, there shouldn't be a problem, provided you follow the install instructions and its kernel-setting instructions to the letter. Otherwise... more information needed.

(Incidentally, please don't cross-post, as this is the newsgroup for these kind of questions)
