Using xmlgen when dequeing an object

Greetings,



is there anyway in Oracle AQ to use xmlgen to convert an object payload to
XML when dequeueing a message? I can go to the queue table and use xmlgen,
but I need to do this as part of the dequeue operation. FYI I'm using Oracle
8.1.7.
