ORA-04031: how to solve this

hi,

im running a query from within a perl script which used to work fine but suddenly raises the ORA-04031 error:
DBD::Proxy::st execute failed: Server returned error: Failed to execute method CallMethod: DBD::Oracle::st execute failed: ORA-04031: unable to allocate 52 bytes of shared memory ("large pool","unknown object","cursor work he","Extent Sizes") (DBD ERROR: OCIStmtExecute) at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/i586-linux/DBI/ProxyServer.pm line 329.

any idea how to solve this??
