Using LDAP SASL to connect to OID

I have read that Oracle Internet Directory supports SASL but don't see any evidence of it in the product...

Has anyone successfully used LDAP SASL to bind to OID? How can you tell which SASL mechanisms are supported by OID? I queried the RootDSE and didn't see the attribute SupportedSASLMechanisms anywhere - how do you connect using SASL?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
