True enough. You have to be careful about SYS.LINK$, though, if the app designers have been lazy about their database links. IMHO as a DBA, I'd be quite relaxed about SELECT_ANY_TABLE, provided that O7_DICTIONARY_ACCESSIBILITY= FALSE.
