I managed to make a small improvement by playing with Windows 2000 registry


- go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\HOME0






Now I can connect from SQL Plus & JDeveloper; but if I do tnsping localhost,
the Listener still crashes.  Any ideas?
