Hi.
We have Oracle 8.1.7.0 database which serves as a database for our
ecommerce web site.
On average once every 10-14 days we are unable to connect to our life oracle instance. I was able to locate the following errors in the listener.log file:
12-JUN-2002 14:59:11 *
(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=ejsadmin)(CID=(PROGRAM=)(HOST=__jdbc__)(USER=oracle)))
* (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=205.47.49.234)(PORT=1321)) * establish
* ejsadmin * 12500
TNS-12500: TNS:listener failed to start a dedicated server process
TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
TNS-00530: Protocol adapter error
32-bit Windows Error: 2: No such file or directory
Note: this error only occurs every 10-14 days and the only solution is
to restart the oracle server. This fixes it for another 10-14 days.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Does increasing windows semaphores mean anything?
thanks
Vlad
