Hello,

I installed 9iAs Release 2 Infrastructure on RH7.3...after commenting LD_SELF_CONTAINED in
$ORACLE_HOME/bin/genclntsh during installation...

But had problems doing OID/SSO Interoperability Patches (all other patches went thru ok... able to do: startup instance isadb;
lsnrctl start;
agentctl start agent
oemctl start oms;
oemapp consol;
dcmctl start -ct ohs
http://machine:7777
http://machine:1080
)

Have problems after following instructions in the patch directory and from the NOTE 198170.1 in Metalink "Unable to Contact LDAP Server Installing 9iAS OID Interoperability".

$ORACLE_HOME/bin/oidmon start
$ORACLE_HOME/bin/oidctl server=oidldapd instance=1 start

The about two OK...
and
$ORACLE_HOME/ldap/bin/ldapcheck .... seems Ok...
generating the output similar to the NOTE:

Checking Oracle Internet Directory Processes ...

Process oidmon is Alive as PID 6338 <---guardian process
Process oidldapd is Alive as PID 6412 <---ldap dispatcher
Process oidldapd is Alive as PID 6404 <---ldap server

Not Running ---- Process oidrepld <-----Only shows if
                                                             OID
Replication
was setup

But
$ORACLE_HOME/bin/odisrvreg -h myhost -p 4032 \
-D "cn=orcladmin" w super123

Received an error LDAP connection failure when issuing this command:

LDAP Connection Failure

stop all oid's and restart with debug mode as in described in NOTE 185466.1 "How To Setup OID for Extended Tracing", not errors in various logs in @ORACLE_HOME/ldap/log...

   oidmon connect=iasdb start
   oidctl server=oidldapd instance=s flags="-port 4032 -host myhost -debug
65535" start

Please advise if you were able to apply the OID path successfully in SuSE or RH.....

Thanks in advance,
Henry

Just wish the installation/patches are easier!!!! Received on Wed Jun 12 2002 - 08:54:53 CDT
