I use the v$ views all the time. I figured out a way to learn the x$ views, but its not something you want to do in production.

I just run my explain plan out of my SYS account on a play database and I can get lists of X$ tables and look at them.

Is there a naming convention behind them? Or is that propietary? Are these names sort of an Oracle encryption? They are non-sensical. Received on Fri May 31 2002 - 20:03:41 CDT
