8.1.6 EE on Windows 2000
While logged in as JOE (has CONNECT, RESOURCE, DBA GRANTed), I can execute
SELECT SYS.JOBSEQ.NEXTVAL FROM DUAL;
... in SQL*Plus, but when I do the same in a PL/SQL procedure:
CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION XXX RETURN NUMBER AS
XSEQUENCE NUMBER;
BEGIN
SELECT
SYS.JOBSEQ.NEXTVAL INTO XSEQUENCE
FROM
DUAL;
RETURN XSEQUENCE;
END;
...I get:
PLS-00201: identifier 'SYS.JOBSEQ' must be declared.
Question: how can I get the value of SYS.JOBSEQ.NEXTVAL in my PL/SQL code? Received on Fri May 31 2002 - 13:11:16 CDT
