You basically cut the chase & got to the point. If I'm going to get serious about Oracle I'm going to have to upgrade this old PC. With the speeds of current systems in the market, I would imagine minimum of 1.2 Ghz with 512 MB RAM on WinXP with DSL connection. The DSL connection would help with both downloads and source documentation, but I'm sure it is still a LONG download. With this configuration I could go with the Oracle9i Database Enterprise/Standard/Personal Edition for Windows NT/2000/XP Pro. This would give me the Enterprise edition which was suggested in the earlier post. Thanks!
