I faced this problem once.


I dont remember the exact solution but you can do one thing.
Install ADMINISTRATOR ASSISTANT (I dont remember the exact name) from
WINDOWS OPTIONS PACK.



Then In the START/PROGRAMS menu of Oracle , you have an entry called
ORACLE ADMINISTRATOR ASSISTANT FOR WINDOWS NT.

Using that you can specify whether you want to start the database
along with the service.
