'Offline drop' is really the command to take datafiles offline when in noarchivelog mode. Which means that the 'drop' syntax is really fairly redundant in archivelog mode: at least, it doesn't do any more damage than a plain old 'offline' would do.

Therefore, it should be perfectly possible to restore the accidentally deleted file, perform recovery on that file, and then online it.
