Auto Start DB problems on Solaris

I have 3 DB's on a Sun Solaris machine - last one recently manually created (not with "dbassist" - DB Creation Asst) - The 3rd DB will not auto stop/start - but the other 2 stop/start fine. I added an entry in the var/opt/oracle/oratab file for the 3rd DB - also there is a link in the $ORACLE_HOME/dbs folder to the init.ora file for the 3rd DB. The "rc" scripts seem to handle auto stopping/starting the other 2 DB's, but not the 3rd...

Any suggestions ?

Thanks
