I don't think it's relevant, given that it worked fine w/ 805
installation, but here it is..

I am not very familiar w/ Oracle on Windows, but I have 805 installed on c:\orant and 817 installed on c:\orant817
I can run a trace, but it won't show anything useful (I am sure it
won't show the existence of TNS_ADMIN variable, and will just look at
default locations)

We use Oracle 8.1.7.3 on Solaris 2.7 boxes
