I've got the same problem with 4Gb RAM & 18Gb free on a Sun Blade 100 running Solaris 2.8 (02/02 with current patches & /etc/system parameters updated). All of my file systems are under 30% used & the Oracle partitions are under 10%.

I've aborted the install, but would like to know why this happens. The space message doesn't wash unless its an internal Oracle memory configuration problem. I'll revert to doing a custom install without creating an instance.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks.
