Re: Oracle 8i IO errors

Many thanks for all the bright ideas, its quite scary how many things could go wrong. It appears there's a bug in the (slightly outdated) version of Oracle in use which gives errors when extended at a multiple of 4GB. We modified the tablespace to miss the multiple and it now seems OK.
