RMAN-10002: ORACLE error: ORA-01455: converting column overflows integer datatype

I backup several instances of a customer's machine with rman. Sometimes
it fails with the above statement. What does it want to convert? Why 
does it want to convert something? I want it to backup a db and not
fiddle around with my databases :-)



Any ideas to get rid of that error?
