O8i + Telnet + SQL*plus

I connect to an Oracle 8i database via Telnet.

The problem is that windows opens a small window (telnet) through which I conduct my queries. This is a nuisance because my query output overlaps to the next line, making it appear messy. Is there any way of maximising this window to 'full-screen'?
