Minor reply: if you usually need to work with 6 different versions at customers (of which, obviously, only one is supported, 8.1.7, no one has 9i, customers in the Netherlands almost never upgrade because they think it doesn't buy them anything), it is very difficult to keep track of all the features added in various versions. Current versions to deal with
7.3.4, 8.0.4,8.0.6,8.1.5,8.1.6,8.1.7 on 4 different platforms (NT, Solaris, HP-UX, and AIX)
