When logging in to the database or selecting from v$version, the banner will state if it is 64 bit.

Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 8.1.6.3.0, 64 bit - Production With the Partitioning option
JServer Release 8.1.6.3.0 - Production

If it's 32-Bit it will not.

Oracle8i Release 8.1.7.2.0 - Production
JServer Release 8.1.7.2.0 - Production
