Hi,

perhaps you have two versions of Net8/SQL-Net, search for tnsnames.ora, if there are more of them, because the ODBC might use another sqlnet/net8 as yozur SQL*Plus

If there is only one tnsnames.ora:

See your ODBC-aliases, what is the value for the sid-entry (not the odbc-alias !)

Then: tnsping sid_entry
