Can I ask why you just don't go out and buy another 128Mb of RAM? Doing so would either confirm that the current lack of RAM is the cause of the problem by the simple expedient of fixing it. Or the problem would persist, in which case you'd know that something else needs looking at... but in the meantime, you'd have got yourself a better machine!

Strikes me as a win-win proposition.
