cheers. I had a look at the technet it talks about establishing authentication between Oracle(on W2k) and another w2k machine - my requirement is Oracle(on Unix) and w2k machine.

I have got Oracle 9i on Unix(on Solaris 2.8) and would like to connect a w2k machine using it's windows authentication method.

So,
I tried adding a user(<domainname>\<user>) on Oracle server and then tried to connect from the w2k machine but that failed.

There are lot of pointers saying that;
- SQLNET.ORA (on the server and client machines) needs to be set with some values - I think that is Oracle 8i related... - and etc..

I am confused as to what the exact procedure is to get this working...

Thanks all for your responses...
Sandiyan...
