Indead the most common reason for this error is that DISPLAY can't be opened
Can't it be the case that :0.0 can't be opened by Reports because it is
already opened by your X-terminal?
Try another number but make sure there is an X-server.
In our environment we have the product "vnc" installed on the Unix server (Solaris 2.6) to be able to do this. It is mentioned in a Metalink note, sorry, don't have the note id at hand. We use <my serer>:13 as the display, just an arbitrary higher number to never get conflicts with other X-sessions.
