One of the major DBA skills is to be able to go to the right docs for understanding/ addressing a real life problem.
Certification definitely helps in getting organized.

Nothing can replace experience. Every
day we learn something new. More one
works, more one will be exposed to
real life critical Oracle Database problems. Common sense, analytical capability,
willingness to solve problems, willingness to spend time to do the research to
understand a probelm, all these things
will help in enhancing and strengthening the knowledge.

Congratulations on completing your
Oracle DBA certfication. Don't even
think how much of Oracle you know or you don't know. Whenever there is any
Oracle Database problem, try to analyze
and theorize what's causing the problem
along with your best efforts to solve the problem hands on in the fastest possible time as demanded by any business.
