Oracle Installation / DB Administration Recommendations ???

Hi,

I have no experience with the installation or administration of Oracle and am currently tasked to perform the installation and configuration of Oracle 8.1.7 Enterprise on Windows 2000 in the very near term. Formal training is, unfortunately, not a budgetary option.

Aside from reading Oracle's 240+ page installation guide and mentioned references within, can anyone please recommend an additional reference book or books that would assist me in best understanding implications of the many installation options.

Are there any major "gotchas" I should pay particular attention to when installing Oracle 8.1.7 Enterprise on Windows 2000.

Any best URL for Oracle FAQs?

Also, with respect to Oracle database administration, is there a "best" reference book that one would most recommend having available to assist in post-installation configuration and day-to-day administration?

I did not have ample opportunity to peruse this newsgroup prior to posting these questions, so I apologize in advance if this information is readily available in an FAQ or elsewhere. If this is the case, please inform me and I will reference any pointers.
