How to set up "show error"

I installed sqlPlus 8.1.7.0.0 on my PC. But "show errors" commend
doesn't work. I have to type "show errors trigger t_name" or "select *
from user_errors" to get the error message.



How should I set up sqlPlus to make "show error" work?
