I have a Dell server running NT Advance Server with 8 gigs of memory and
Oracle 8.1.7 loaded. When ever I try to set the SGA memory over 2 gigs
it gives an out of memory error.



I was told that I need to load 8.1.7 in order to user the extra memory.
Any ideas as to how to get Oracle to see the additional memory would be
appreciated.
