I have an existing Oracle Names Server running already on a separate server and database (version 8.0.5.2.1 on Solaris 2.6). Now, I'm trying to create a secondary Oracle Names server on a different Solaris box. I was able to create the database,..etc. But when I tried to query the primary Oracle name server, I received the following message - NNC-00408: name "my.primaryoracleserver.com" exists but desired data does not ..I know my secondary Oracle Name Server does not have the registered instance names stored in the primary, so my question is how do I synchronize or download the registered instance names from my primary Oracle names server to the secondary Oracle name server. Thank you in advance.
