If you want detailed timing statistics for a specific session, then I recommend reading "Oracle System Performance Analysis Using Oracle Event 10046" at www.hotsos.com/catalog. The 10046 stuff described in this document is advertised to become part of Oracle Trace in 9i, which should make the detailed trace data even easier to get your hands on.
