The problem I have seen for multiple instances on one box running multiple CPUs is in regards to parallelization and not getting the resources they require. I have seen on an eight CPU box, everything setup with a DEGREE of four across ten different instances running on the SUN server. They couldn't work out why they were not getting the best bang for their buck. I wonder why?????
