Re: Postgree vs Oracle in a Linux Server

You are absolutely, totally, incorrect ... and without a clue. The only relationship between 8i/9i and 11i is that they are sold by the same company. And, in fact, there isn't even a single product named 11i: It is a family of products.

So I am sorry to be so harsh ... but you haven't even invested the minimum effort required to go to http://oracle.com and find out what the products are. And it is obvious!
