dbca stalls at 50% on 9i

When I try to create a DB on 9i, it gets to 50% and then stalls. The oracle
process "oracle"


consumes up to 100% CPU without any visible file I/O. It seems to be just
looping.



The box I'm running on is a Sparc 333MHz running Solaris 2.8 with 1Gig of
Memory.



What's up with this? Any help would be appreciated.
