OK. I installed Oracle 9i as Software Only - which successfully installed.
Then I ran the Configuration Assistant - which also then ran without
problems, creating the database. This is a lot further on that where I was.
I then ran Enterprise Manager and tried to connect to the database, but it
gave the error:
ORA-12154: TNS could not resolve service name
whatever that means! Does anyone know how I can progress from here?
