CPU 100% use

Hi,

We have a Win2k machine running 8.1.7 with 2 instances on it. Up untill today everything was fine but then one of the instances started to utilize 100% CPU. Even by stopping all processes the CPU load did not reduce. In the end i rebooted the box but as soon as this instance is started the same thing happens 100% CPU and the box basically locks up but you can still execute SQL commands from a terminal.

Does anyone know why this might be as i've looked everywhere i can and can't seem to find the answer.
